You can usually find masala in the spice section of grocery stores. Or, you might search the recipe from internet for the homemade one. Of course there is no comparison between packaged products and homemade!
Malzemeler/Ingredients:
Ayiklanmis 1 kg bezelye/1 kg shelled green peas
1 adet kup kup dogranmis havuc/1 carrot, diced
1 adet kup kup dogranmis patates/1 potato, diced
2 dis dogranmis sarimsak/2 cloves garlic, minced and diced
1 adet yemeklik dogranmis sogan/1 diced onion
Zeytinyagi/Olive oil
1 tatli kasigi domates salcasi/ 1/2 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tatli kasigi masala/1/2 tablespoon masala
Tuz/Salt
Hazirlanisi/Preperation:
Tencerede zaytinyagini isitinn. Sogan ve sarimsagi ekleyin. 3-4 dakika yuksek ateste renkleri donene kadar kavurun. Havuc ve patatesleri ilave edip 5 dakika daha karistirarak pisirin. Salca ve baharatlari bir kaseye koyun, uzerine ilik su ekleyip karistirin. Tencereye ilave edin. En son bezelyeleri de ekleyin, biraz daha su ilavesi yapin ve yaklasik 30 dakika orta ateste pisirin.
Heat the olive oil in a pot. Add onion and garlic and saute for 3-4 minutes on medium high heat. Add carrots and potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes. In another bowl, mix the spices and tomato paste. Pour warm water and mix well. Add the mixture to the pot and finally add the peas and more water if necessary, cook for 30 minutes at medium heat.
